Course Description

Artificial Intelligence is being used more widely in medical imaging than ever. A.I. assists in detecting, characterizing, and monitoring medical imaging through deep learning technology. These A.I.s contribute to the lives of sick patients and give healthy patients the assurance they are healthy. This course will allow you to launch a career in the rapidly growing and lucrative field of medical imaging by giving you the advanced AI specific skills that very few have.

You will explore and understand how A.I. is being used in the medical imaging field. You will understand how A.I. learns, as well as use cases to understand the best kind of A.I. to use for a specific situation. You will learn how to use CNNs to detect, segment, and diagnose tumors.

You will learn how to use RNNs to detect changes in image data and use A.I. to complete a capstone project where you will detect, characterize, and monitor real-time thoracic images.

This is one of five courses in our Medical Technology Track that leads to a completion certificate.
